Spring and Summer fun...

Just after Easter we (Paula, Ariana, Tarin and me) all went to Disney World. Ariana was selected from the crowd at Belle's reading corner (by the Castle) to be in the Beauty and the Beast story. She played Lumiea, the candle. her first time on stage was a success.

Tarin has gone from learning to walk to running at full speed. Today she is still only saying a few words (Mommy, Daddy, and can say her sister's name) but she dos understand and recognizes when we ask her to point to an object that we say. ( ie where is your nose, where is the kitty, point to Mommies eyes)... She was on the bike yesterday with her helmet on and having a great time as Paula pushed her around the kitchen. i am finding it increasingly more difficult to dispense judicial decisions with Tarin's abilities growing closer to Ariana's...
Before, most things that occurred had to be at the fault of Ariana (ie glass breaking, messy room, etc) as Tarin was too small, and lacked the maneuverability to do to much in a short period of time. Now, there needs to be an investigation before a verdict of guilt and a "time out" is sentenced, as Tarin can do most things now as well. It is difficult because Tarin lacks the speech communication necessary, but the physical evidence carries the most weight.
For instance, the other day I heard nothing coming from the playroom, a sure sign of trouble afoot... I peer around the corner only to find that Ariana has a rainbow of colors on her from magic markers. Tarin was sitting there with marker on herself as well. The story as told by Ariana was that she was playing and Tarin was drawing on her, and herself.
As Tarin cant speak but a few words, I had to rely on the physical evidence.
The markers were all near Tarin, with covers surrounding her. The markings on Ariana were on her back and upper arms (she has a history of drawing on herself and is very flexible, but not this flexible and the drawing usually was on her lower legs, thighs and lower arms). Tarin had marker on her lower legs and especially on both hands, in a manner consistent with a child drawing with their fingers to close to the tip of a marker.
The evidence supported Ariana's version of the story and a 1 minute time out for Tarin was sentenced and served... Justice for all...

Paula and I's favorite TV show has changed from Law and Order, to CSI "Crime Scene Investigation"...

Anyway, Gabrielle Stone (Paula's niece)is visiting from Ohio, as her parents are getting their home ready to move... We will be returning to Disney next week, and bringing Gabey with us to see the sites and attractions...

I forgot to mention earlier, that there was another trip to Disney in June 11-13, and this time I was selected from the audience to play a role in the Indiana Jones Stunt show at MGM Studios. Anyway it has been a great summer so far, only one hurricane so far that has come close to us "Dennis", but there is another brewing south of Cuba right now that is being tracked "Emily", it should also miss us... Hopefully.
